…into waterfront parks, hundreds of affordable homes, and jobs for San Francisco.
Crafted through eight years of neighborhood outreach and community planning, the Mission Rock initiative will create approximately 1,500 new rental homes, 40% affordable to lower and middle income families, without disrupting existing neighborhoods.
The Mission Rock initiative will transform the old industrial site just south of AT&T Park currently known as Parking Lot A. The initiative will build new affordable rental homes near existing public transit, create 8 acres of parks and open space, and bring 11,000 new permanent jobs and 13,500 construction jobs to the City. Ballpark parking will be responsibly integrated into the neighborhood. The Mission Rock initiative will revitalize historic Pier 48 to become the expanded home for Anchor Brewing, protect against sea level rise, and generate over $1 billion in revenue for San Francisco.
